Fourth of July fatal motorcycle accident in Milwaukee leaves 1 dead, 1 in custody
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) - According to the Milwaukee Police Department, a 29-year-old is dead and a 31-year-old is in custody after a car versus motorcycle accident occurred last night, July 4th, just after 10p.m. near the intersection of E. Locust St. and N. Booth St.
The 31-year-old operator of the car was driving down W. Booth St. when it collided with a motorcycle driving on W. Locust St. Despite life saving efforts, the driver of the motorcycle succumbed to their injuries sustained during the accident and was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the car was taken into custody.
Milwaukee police would like to remind the public that this is still an active investigation and charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
