Franklin police officer injured after crash near 76th and Ryan Road

FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Franklin police officer was involved in a crash on Thursday, Feb. 13. 

The two-vehicle crash happened around 12:45 p.m., at the intersection of West Ryan Road and South 76th Street. 

According to the Franklin Police Department, both the officer and the driver of the other vehicle -- a 22-year-old Waterford man -- were examined by the Franklin Fire Department. 

The officer was then transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The Waterford man was released from the scene. 

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is handling the crash investigation.
