MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Frida Fest kicks off in Milwaukee Saturday morning, July 31.
The weekend-long event aims to promote Latino artists in Southeastern Wisconsin by highlighting the work of Frida Kahlo.
The interactive festival will feature local artisan vendors, painting classes, free food, live music and much more.
"We want to promote -- or our mission is to promote -- local artists as well, so we're going to have over 35 vendors that are going to have their art pieces here and they're going to sell it," said Thaime Nanez, owner of Farmhouse Paint & Sip. "So come support your local artists. It's going to be a great festival, there's no fee and it's for the entire family."
Frida Fest runs from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Farmhouse Paint & Sip in Milwaukee.
The family-friendly festival is free to the public.
