Showers return for the short work week with best chances Wednesday

NOW: Showers return for the short work week with best chances Wednesday
NEXT:

After last week's big soaking rain where most of southeast Wisconsin got 1-3" of rain and some got as much as 5" we have really dried out for the end of last week and through the weekend. The dry weather stayed with us through a beautiful Memorial Day but as we head into the rest of the week the rain chances return. A few isolated showers will be possible on Tuesday as we start to saturate the atmosphere and rain rolls in from the west.

The rain chances will ramp up for Wednesday with scattered showers looking likely off and on throughout the day. A batch of steady, heavy rain looks less likely, but keep the umbrella handy for the scattered showers.

A few more showers might be possible on Thursday but the chance is relatively low right now. The afternoon hours of Thursday looks like the best chance for that rain. Friday also has another chance for some showers and even some storms as temps warm into the 70s.

With the best chance for rain coming Wednesday, rain totals over the next 48 hours look to stay under a half inch for everyone with most around a quarter inch and a few only seeing a tenth of an inch of rain.
