Froedtert announces no-visitor policy effective Jan. 12, with limited exceptions

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin announced a change to their visitor policy Tuesday, Jan. 11, citing the rising number of positive Covid-19 cases in the community.

The health network says effective Wednesday, Jan. 12, no visitors will be allowed in their urgent care locations, emergency departments or hospitals.

Exceptions may include patients with disabilities who are minors, end-of-life decisions and care, and other limited situations.

According to their website, one visitor will be allowed in the birth center, for appointments and procedures without a hospital stay and in the cancer center without a hospital stay.

Everyone must continue to wear a medical-grade mask at all locations, at all times.
