MUSKEGO, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Roxz’s Resources & Awareness will host a fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 13 at The Tipsy Turtle Patio and Grill in Muskego. The event runs from 3 to 7 p.m. and will raise supplies for the group’s free pet food pantry while honoring those who died of fentanyl overdoses.
Founder Vicky Van Lare joined us on Wednesday, Sept. 10. Her son died of a fentanyl overdose last October, making the cause close to her heart. The event aims to reduce stigma and offer community support.
The fundraiser will feature a poker ride, raffles, food and family activities including crafts, a face painter and kids coloring pages. Attendees who have lost a loved one to fentanyl are invited to bring a photo for a memory board.
