MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- "Magnificent Bird," the latest album from singer / songwriter Gabriel Kahane, is preparing for a live performance in Milwaukee. The artist is set to present an expanded rendition of his introspective album, alongside a Present Music string quartet.
Performances are slated for Tuesday, May 30, and Wednesday, May 31, at the Jan Serr Studio in Milwaukee. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. on both days.
To discuss the shows, Kahane joined us live on Tuesday, May 30.
His album aims to encapsulate the concluding month of a year-long internet hiatus. Collaborators on the album include artists such as Andrew Bird, Chris Thile, Sylvan Esso’s Amelia Meath and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw.
The performances will showcase Kahane as a vocalist, guitarist and pianist, supported by Present Music musicians Ilana Setapen, Eric Segnitz, Erin Pipal and Adrien Zitoun.
Tickets for the performances are available via the Present Music website.
