Generator stolen from mobile coffee shop in Milwaukee, owner asks for its return
Elevate Coffee MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Elevate Coffee Shop is asking for your help in finding the suspects who they say stole the generator from their food truck. The business' surveillance video shows what appears to be two men stealing the food truck's generator on Friday, Oct. 30 around 3:10 a.m.
"It was really stressful and I was really angry, because we work really hard to get our business going and you know, get customers. The generator is something that's needed in order to run the business, just to open it," shared Ana Gonzalez, the owner of Elevate Coffee.
The mobile coffee shop, located at Zócalo Food Park in Milwaukee, was scheduled to be at an event the next day. So Gonzalez says they needed to buy a new generator and fix the damage done at a cost of $3,800. "It's not expected, so literally we need to use this now-emergency fund, or fund on the side to get it going, because we can't stop," shared Gonzalez.
She's asking for you to see if you recognize the thieves and for them to return the generator.
Milwaukee police say they are still looking for unknown suspects. If you know anything, you're asked to contact them. If you want to remain anonymous, you can call Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS or use the P3 Tips App.
