MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- For more than 60 years, the Greater Milwaukee Urban League has been helping communities of color advance.
On Thursday, Feb. 23, they honored others making an impact with the Equal Opportunity Day luncheon.
The Urban League is a national organization which was founded during the Great Migration. It's helped countless Black Americans get education, equality, social justice and so much more.
The 62nd luncheon honored Whitney Young, one of the Urban League's past presidents. An award is handed out in his honor and on Thursday, it went to 98-year-old Dr. William Finlayson, a legendary doctor in Milwaukee who has made an impact on generations of families.
