MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A groundbreaking was held on Tuesday for a Milwaukee Public School renovation project.
The President of the Green Bay Packers showed up for the occasion.
Mark Murphy and the Packers are contributing $250,000 to the renovation of the football field at Pulaski High School.
The field will be covered in synthetic turf for better safety.
It will get new goalposts and soccer goals, and it all should be ready for the start of the fall sports season.
"There's a lot of different events, we have lights here, bleachers, a track, people could come out here for exercise purposes, to see a wonderful football game or soccer game. Whatever the situation may be, this is something that we..this is a community effort," said Superintendent Dr. Keith Posley.
Over the past five years, MPS has renovated stadiums at other high schools including South Division, Vincent, and Custer stadiums.
