Greenfield church collecting hurricane relief supplies to send to Ft. Myers Beach

GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Ridge Community Church in Greenfield is collecting hurricane relief supplies for the people of Ft. Myers Beach in Florida. 

They're hoping to fill a semi for delivery next week.

The church is located at 4500 S. 108th Street and they're collecting from now through Sunday, Oct. 9.

Drop-off hours are Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sunday from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Items from this list will be accepted:

  • Battery Box Charger
  • Batteries
  • Protein Bars
  • Granola
  • Peanut Butter
  • Canned food
  • Can Openers
  • Flashlights w/batteries
  • Sports Drinks
  • Plates, Bowls, Utensils
  • Blankets
  • Towels
  • Toothbrushes & Toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Soap
  • Zip Lock Bags
  • Pet Food
  • Clorox Wipes
  • Hand Wipes
  • Paper Towel
  • Toilet Paper
  • Bleach
  • Socks
  • Underwear
  • Feminine Hygiene Products
  • New & Empty Gas Can’s
  • Generators

Relief supplies will be taken directly to Ft. Myers Beach. Once there, local officials will store the items in a warehouse and hand them out to Hurricane Ian victims.
