
WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A police chase through West Allis and Wauwatosa early Monday, Oct. 13 ended with two people in custody after someone in a fleeing SUV fired several shots at officers.
Police said the situation started at around 1 a.m. when a caller on S. 70th St. reported a white SUV with its lights off blocking a parking lot exit. When officers arrived, the SUV reportedly drove away without headlights.
Officers tried to pull the SUV over near W. Greenfield Ave., but it allegedly took off, heading through city streets with someone inside firing roughly 20 rounds. Officers also fired back, but no one was hit.
The chase ended near Glenview and Wisconsin in Wauwatosa.
A 26-year-old West Allis woman and a 20-year-old Oak Creek man were arrested, and a gun reportedly was found in the SUV.
