Harvest Day Festival at Johnson's Park emphasizes 'Building Better Together'

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Harvest Day Festival, a community event in Milwaukee's Lindsay Heights neighborhood, prepares for its 22nd year under the theme "Building Better Together."

Set to take place Saturday, Sept. 30 at Johnson's Park, the festival has traditionally been one of the neighborhood's largest family-friendly gatherings.

Local entertainment includes a youth talent show, performances by Milwaukee Flyers and DJ Homer Blow. A children's station and health and wellness activities are also on the schedule, along with local food and product vendors.

Antonio Butts, Executive Director of Walnut Way Conservation Corp., said in a press release that the festival aims to celebrate the Lindsay Heights community by highlighting local talents, gifts and culture.

Open to the public, the festival runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For those interested in registering for the youth talent show or securing a vendor booth, more information is available at Walnut Way's website.
