TOWN OF ADDISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A head-on crash in Washington County reportedly resulted in multiple injuries and temporarily shut down a section of Highway 33, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies, Wisconsin State Patrol troopers and emergency crews responded to the crash on Monday, Feb. 9 at around 8:06 p.m. on Highway 33 west of Highway 175 in the Town of Addison.
Emergency personnel found four people at the scene. One person was flown to a hospital with serious injuries, while two others were taken by ambulance. A fourth person did not need medical attention.
Authorities say they shut down Highway 33 between Highway 175 and County Trunk U for about two hours. Investigators determined that an eastbound vehicle crossed into the westbound lanes, causing the crash.
The scene was reconstructed, and officials said impairment was a factor. The investigation is ongoing.
