MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--Once again, not the best of timing. There's a holiday weekend, and higher winds and waves will make for unfavorable conditions by the shores of Lake Michigan. A Beach Hazards Statement is in place for late Saturday morning into early Sunday afternoon for higher wind and waves. There could be waves more than six feet and gusts higher than 30 knots. Weatherwise, it won't be great either. There's a chance for showers and thunder into Saturday evening but not all day long though. Some spots could see a few tenths of an inch.

After Saturday, conditions will get a whole lot nicer. Look for fairly dry weather (with the exception of Sunday morning's shower chances.) Labor Day itself looks nice with highs in the 70s. 80s are in the forecast for many of the days after Monday. No major storm systems expected to perhaps some point next weekend.
