MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's the second week of Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations and we're highlighting the role of the Latin community in Milwaukee.
Today we recognize Rolando Yanes, who in 2001 became director of the second Milwaukee Ballet Company and has helped develop the school's programs and academy.
He has created original work including Alice in Wonderland and the upcoming Adventures of Cipollino.
Yanes says his culture has helped him become a better teacher for his students.
Yanes is a native of Cuba and has been with the Milwaukee Ballet for 23 years.
