Wisconsin voters head to the polls for Aug. 11 primary election
CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Tuesday, Aug. 11 is Election Day, and polls are opening across Wisconsin for the Tuesday, Aug. 11 partisan primary election.
Polling locations are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Any voter who is in line by the 8 p.m. deadline will be permitted to cast their ballot. The votes will determine which candidates are on the Nov. 3 general election ballot.

Voters with absentee ballots should also return them by 8 p.m. Tuesday to ensure they are counted, rather than relying on the mail; more information about how to do so in Milwaukee can be found by clicking here.
Voters must be U.S. citizens and be 18 years old before Election Day, having lived in Wisconsin for at least 28 consecutive days and not be serving a felony sentence, including probation.
In the voting booth, only one political party can be chosen all the way down the ballot. For example, a voter cannot vote in the Democratic primary for one race then in the Republican primary for another.
