LOS ANGELES, Calif. (CBS 58) — We talk about history brewing in this Brewers postseason run. Well, the Brewers do have a history of making the World Series. It only happened once, 44 years ago, but our Bill Walsh is in Los Angeles where he's been chasing down a link to that history.
Just a Bit Outside: The Story of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers was executive produced by Burlington native and UW-Madison alum Kelly Kahl.
For Kahl, revisiting that '82 team meant more than remembering the wins, it meant rediscovering what made that group at that moment so special.
Just A Bit Outside
Now, a new generation of Brewers is trying to rewrite their own chapter in history.
The names have changed but the stakes have not. And for anyone who remembers '82, the possibility of another World Series brings back some joyful and some powerful memories.
