70-year-old dead after hit-and-run crash near 34th and Lloyd

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash on Saturday, Jan. 4. 

It happened near 34th and Lloyd around 7:50 p.m. 

According to the Milwaukee Police Department, a driver was traveling north on 34th when it collided with a second vehicle at an intersection. The second vehicle was traveling west on Lloyd. Police say the driver of the first vehicle fled the scene. 

Two people were inside the second vehicle. A 70-year-old passenger was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to the injuries sustained during the crash, according to police.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Beverly Fair. 

The driver of the second vehicle was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
