SPOKANE, Wash. (CBS 58) -- While the Wisconsin heat may say that it is not yet "beginning to feel a lot like Christmas," but one company is using August as the month to choose a family that will receive a very special gift as the temperatures cool.

Old World Christmas, a nationwide producer out of Spokane that produces hand glittered Christmas ornaments, is holding a contest to allow a family to win an in-home holiday makeover, including Christmas tree treatment by the company's master decorator, Sarah Dyne.

Five finalists will also receive a $100 Old World Christmas prize package.

"Our ornaments are all about making memories and putting smiles on people's faces," said Neal Applefeld, President & CEO of Old World Christmas in a press release announcing the contest. "We're excited to be working with our Master Decorator, Sarah, to help bring this vision to life to a deserving family."

Nominations for the contest can be made through a video, photo or written entry describing why a particular family deserves some holiday cheer.

The contest will close at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 20, and the winners will be announced in September.
