Tuesday was the most humid day of the year so far when dew points rose into the upper 70s in a lot of communities. It wasn't the hottest day of the year for temps in the upper 80s and low 90s but it was for what it felt like outside. The peak heat index values in a lot of communities reached the upper 90s and the 100s. It was by far the hottest feeling day of the year with heat indices reaching 107* in Kenosha and in the 100s in a lot of our southern counties.
It won't be as hot on Wednesday but still warm in the low 80s. The temps the next week do a bit of a roller coaster dropping into the low 70s Thursday and Friday then back to the 80s Saturday and then hovering around 70 to start next week.
Dew points are still a little sticky Wednesday morning but the drop into the comfy category Wednesday afternoon. Thursday is going to be a very comfy day with dew points in the lower 50s but the humidity returns on Friday by the afternoon with a rain chance.
A few showers have moved back into southeast Wisconsin Wednesday morning. I think we get a break in the late morning and early afternoon with another round of showers possible around dinner time. Thursday looks mostly dry and so does Friday morning but by Friday afternoon and evening the rain chance ramps up with showers and a few isolated storms.
Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather app to track the dropping dew points and any showers.
