GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An Illinois man is facing two felony charges after fleeing from officers after a street takeover in Glendale over the weekend.

The body camera and dash cam video CBS 58 obtained shows Glendale police chasing 20-year-old Allen Mendoza for nearly three miles. Mendoza told investigators he and his brother came from Illinois to watch the street takeovers.

In a criminal complaint, a Glendale police officer states when he arrived near Port Washington and Silver Spring, there were several cars in the area and tire marks on the ground.

One car with Illinois license plates made a U-turn at a red light and nearly hit a Glendale police squad car.

The car then sped up to 50 miles an hour. Its license plates were also expired. That's when the police chase began.

Police say the driver, now identified as 20-year-old Mendoza from Illinois, began driving 60 miles an hour, and then 100 miles an hour.

Mendoza also rapidly braked his car, driving through traffic signals. Police tried several attempts to stop him and then used a PIT maneuver.

Mendoza now faces two felony charges, including using a car to flee an officer, and second degree recklessly endangering safety. He and his brother told officers the car had fraudulent license plates to avoid paying Illinois tolls and that his license was suspended.

If convicted, Mendoza faces up to 16 years in prison.
