Duaa Israr, Reporter
Duaa Israr is a reporter with a passion for storytelling and human-interest stories. She graduated from DePaul University in 2021 with a double major in Journalism and Political Science. After graduating, she moved to La Crosse, Wisconsin where she worked for the CBS affiliate WKBT-TV for two years. During her time there, Duaa worked as a multi-media journalist and morning anchor.
As a Chicago native, she's excited to be closer to home. Duaa joined the CBS 58 team in November of 2023.
Duaa's favorite part of being a journalist is being able to tell stories that matter to community members. Each day is an opportunity to meet new people. When Duaa's not working, you can find her hiking, painting, or cooking. She loves spending time with friends, family, and her cat, August.
If you've got a story idea (or a recipe) to share with her, you can email her at [email protected]. You can also find her on Facebook, Instagram, or X.
