Constitutional amendment on April ballot
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Delegates from all over the country have been waiting all week for former President Donald Trump to officially accept his nomination.
"I'm sure I'm going to be moved to tears. The energy in the room is going to be so contagious. I just hope that the American people and those around the world who see this, I hope that they're projecting the energy enough that they can almost feel like they're with us," Wisconsin Delegate Kathy Broghammer said.
Broghammer told CBS 58 she is on board with the revisions made to Mr. Trump's speech that will center it around unity in light of the assassination attempt on his life. She and others said they believe the new address will help people see a different side of the former president.
When it comes to what issues she would like to hear him touch on during his first speech since the attempt on his life, Broghammer said she is hoping he will double down on his stance on immigration.
"[Immigration] to me is the entire umbrella of problems and everything else is underneath that. If we can get that fixed everything will immediately start falling into place and then we can worry about everything else. That is the one thing everybody wants solved," she said.
