MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- First Stage is set to present "The SpongeBob Musical for Young Audiences" in Milwaukee, running from March 3 to April 2.
This adaptation of the hit Broadway show, based on the long-running animated Nickelodeon series, is tailored specifically for young audiences. With a book by Kyle Jarrow, fans of all ages can expect a splash of excitement as their favorite characters from Bikini Bottom come to life on stage.
In this seaworthy tale, SpongeBob and friends face the threat of total annihilation from Mt. Humongous. As chaos ensues, an unexpected hero rises to save the day.
The production boasts original songs from a star-studded lineup of musicians, including Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, David Bowie, among others, promising a whale of a time for Milwaukee families.
