Investigation underway after 'large-scale' fight among Waukesha senior living facility employees
WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) - Update, 5/24/25, 12:00 pm - In a statement to CBS 58 News, Oak Hill Terrace officials responded to the investigation:
"On Thursday Afternoon, an incident occurred at Oak Hill Terrace," said Senior Executive Director Julie Ticcioni. "Residents were not involved at any point. Onsite security and local law enforcement responded promptly, and appropriate security measures were immediately taken. The safety and wellbeing of our residents and staff are our top priority and we are cooperating fully with local authorities that are investigating the matter. We remain committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive environment for all who live and work in our community."
WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police are investigating after a large fight involving employees broke out at a senior living facility in Waukesha.
Officers responded to Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living Center Thursday afternoon, May 22, after 911 calls reported a "chaotic" fight involving multiple people in the facility's lobby.
Police say the incident stemmed from a fight between employees and escalated when a group of people "forcibly" entered the facility.
They say surveillance footage and witness accounts confirmed about 8-10 people involved, both adults and children.
According to Waukesha police, several victims were assaulted, including employees and a juvenile.
They say one victim was kicked in the head, and another's cellphone was stolen and later found destroyed on I-94.
Police say probable cause has been established for multiple arrests, with charges of battery, disorderly conduct, and child abuse.
Waukesha police are actively seeking those involved.
