'Isn't it ironic?': Alanis Morissette's 'Jagged Little Pill' musical to rock Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Alanis Morissette’s "Jagged Little Pill," a musical steeped in the iconic emotions of the famous 1995 album of the same name, is headed to Milwaukee's Miller High Life Theatre.

The rock-infused production, with a cast led by Heidi Blickenstaff reprising her Broadway role as Mary Jane Healy, will take center stage from Friday, July 28 to Sunday, July 30.

The Grammy-winning album, celebrated for its rawness and honesty, sold 33 million copies worldwide, becoming one of the top 20 best-selling albums of all time. It yielded hit singles like "You Oughta Know," "Head Over Feet," "Hand in My Pocket" and "Ironic."

The musical, directed by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus, garnered a season-leading 15 Tony Nominations following its Broadway premiere and clinched the Tony for Best Book of a Musical and Best Featured Actress in a Musical.

It also won the 2021 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album.
