Isolated showers remain possible after a soggy weekend

We saw lots of heavy rain fall over the weekend, including record rain. Milwaukee officially picked up 1.49" of rain just during the day on Saturday which breaks the old record rainfall for the date, September 19th. The old record was 1.44" of rain set in 1997. 

For the entire weekend, Milwaukee ended up picking up 2.59" of rain since Friday. Some good heavy rain, but it was nowhere close to the heaviest reports we've seen. That came in Pewaukee which got close to 6" of rain. Pleasant Prairie also got over 5". Many other areas in southeast Wisconsin saw between 2-5" of rain. 

In Milwaukee, the soaking weekend rain puts our September rain total at 3.51" which is almost a full inch and a half above average and much more than last September which only saw 0.78" of rain through September 20th.

We aren't quite done with the rain chances. The clouds will stick around through at least Tuesday afternoon bringing the chance for at least some drizzle and mist along with a few isolated showers. None of the rain Monday or Tuesday is expected to be heavy and should stay fairly light and isolated.
