NEW BERLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Millions of Brewers fans around the country tuned in to Game 2, and many area bars held watch parties to accommodate them.

We went to Matty’s Bar & Grille in New Berlin, where fans were riding high after another big win.

The best spots were snatched up well before first pitch, and people kept packing in all afternoon and evening.

The crowd erupted after the final out was recorded, securing the win.

That moment of release was a long time coming for Brewers fans.

Dawn told us, "It's incredible, right? I don't believe we've ever been like this before."

Fans were locked in from the first pitch, many of them coming straight from work, like Karen, who told us, "Oh, this was great. I got off of work; it's the best place to come after work."

And they stayed focused through the early Dodgers leads, many living and dying on every pitch.

A young fan named Julian told us, "It was kinda fun. It was awesome. I took my shirt off and waved it in the air."

Judy told us, "Oh my God, it was so exciting. I think they're going to go all the way."

This postseason has been dominated by pitching, meaning there have been few safe leads and little breathing room.

So the offensive outburst Monday was a welcome relief to fan Elliot, who told us, "This one right here, three? That feels good."

William Contreras starred again in Game 2, bringing the crowd to its feet first with a game tying home run in the fifth inning, then again when he put the Brewers ahead for good in the sixth.

Patricia was confident they’d take it from there. "Oh, I was still hoping, but when I got to the eighth inning, I knew we were good."

With a 2-0 series lead, fans are trying to not look too far ahead while still remaining confident in the best team in baseball.

Leo told us, "Gotta take at least one of the first two. And then we'll go from there."

And Elliot said, "Don't take anything for granted. Go out there and just punch them in the mouth like they punched us in the mouth."

This Brewers playoff run coincides with the Packers season and Octoberfest. Matty’s pulled off all three over the weekend.

And they'll be ready to go again Wednesday for a Game 3 watch party.
