Jordan Love hosts youth football camp ahead of Packers training camp
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — With Green Bay Packers training camp just days away, quarterback Jordan Love spent part of his weekend giving back to the next generation of football players.
Love hosted his annual youth football camp Saturday at University School of Milwaukee through his Hands of Love Foundation, teaching football fundamentals and spending time with young athletes.
Now in its fourth year, the camp has become a yearly tradition before Love and his Packers teammates report for training camp.
"Man, I'm excited," Love said. "I love the guys we got. I love the team we got, and I think everybody is in a good place. Now it's time to get back for training camp and keep building on things we left off on in OTAs and get ready to attack the season. For me, it's just getting back, continuing to focus on things I want to improve on mechanic-wise. A lot of it really starts when you get back with the team, get grinding with everybody else and the coaches and all of that."
The Packers open the preseason against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, Aug. 13.
Green Bay begins the regular season on the road against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 3:25 p.m. on CBS.
