Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers return home amid mounting concern over quarterback's injury

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Green Bay Packers are back in Wisconsin after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles 34-29 in Brazil on Friday, Sept. 6.

But it is injury news surrounding Green Bay's franchise quarterback that has fans on edge.

Late in the 4th quarter, Jordan Love had to leave the game after an apparent injury to his leg: Packers QB Jordan Love injured in closing seconds of loss to Eagles in Brazil (cbs58.com).

On Saturday, Sept. 7 the Packers flight from Brazil landed safely in the afternoon, with one fan capturing the moments Love and the team departed the plane.

According to the latest reports from NFL insiders, Love injured his MCL and will miss some time, but it is not expected to be season-ending.  


Currently the team's backup quarterback is Malik Willis who they just traded for at the end of August: Packers acquire QB Malik Willis from Titans for 2025 seventh-round draft pick, AP source says (cbs58.com)

The Green Bay Packers will welcome in the Indianapolis Colts Sunday, Sept. 15 for their home opener at Lambeau Field.
