Judge calls Steven Avery commutation request 'entirely inappropriate'

CBS 58 File MANITOWOC COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A judge assigned to Steven Avery's case says a commutation of his sentence would be "entirely inappropriate," according to court records.
Manitowoc County Circuit Court
Avery is serving a life sentence for the 2005 murder of photographer Teresa Halbach in Manitowoc County, a case that gained widespread attention through the Netflix documentary "Making a Murderer."
Judge Guy Dutcher reviewed Avery's commutation application and the case file before reaching his conclusion.
