Judge rules child charged with killing mother will remain in adult court

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee boy accused of killing his mother when he was 10 years old will remain in adult court.

The boy's attorneys wanted him waived to the juvenile justice system.

They argued the boy would have better access to treatment through the lower court, but a judge on Monday ruled they failed to prove that.

The state argued to keep the boy in adult court, saying the juvenile system wouldn't keep him locked up long enough for his crimes.
