WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The hype is building for this year's Wisconsin State Fair, and that includes the excitement for all the special food and drinks you'll find there.
Ahead of Thursday's kickoff, judges gathered for the 11th annual Sporkies and second annual Drinkies awards, to rate some of the best snacks and drinks you'll find at the fair.
Our Frankie Jupiter was there. Here are his thoughts on the winner of this year's Sporkies, Saz's Deep-Fried Lemonade Bites.
"With a name like Saz's, I know that you can't disappoint," Frankie said. "And this doesn't disappoint. If you are a dessert fan, instantly reminds me of a beignet with a wild pop of flavor, so if you're a dessert fan, you're gonna like this."
The fair kicks off this Thursday, Aug. 1, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 11.
