MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Trial is set to begin on Dec. 9 for the man accused of killing and dismembering 19-year-old Sade Robinson, according to attorneys who met for a pre-trial hearing on Oct. 23.

Maxwell Anderson, 33, has been charged in connection to the death and disappearance of 19-year-old Sade Robinson. Investigators say Anderson intentionally killed and then dismembered Robinson with the intent to conceal the murder.

Anderson has been charged with first degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse and arson of property other than a building.

At the pre-trial date, attorneys said the trial will likely last one or two weeks. Assistant District Attorney Ian Vance-Curzan said he will likely have 500 pieces of evidence to present to the jury.

“There are a lot of scenes, which means a lot of photos, so that’s why I think that number would be there,” Vance-Curzan said.

Attorneys said they are also in the process of organizing questionnaires to give to potential jurors to move the process along.

“We can look at them and sort of eyeball it,” said Anthony Cotton, Maxwell Anderson’s defense attorney. “Maybe we have agreement of certain people who wouldn’t be appropriate for this trial because of commitments they have next week. We do have the Christmas holiday coming up so there could be travel plans for people. We thought that might be a way to streamline things.”

There is a jury status hearing scheduled for late November.
