Kathryn Merck joined the CBS 58 news team as a reporter in July 2024.
She previously worked at WISC-TV in Madison, Wisconsin as a Multi-Media Journalist/Reporter for two years. She credits the city as the place where she found her passion for covering the unique stories of America’s Dairyland. Her work at the station earned her a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award.

As a born and raised Chicagoan, Kathryn makes frequent trips on I-94 to visit her beloved friends and family. She’s a fan of Chicago’s famous food, sports teams and museums.
You can find Kathryn enjoying all the things that make Milwaukee special. She loves eating food at new restaurants, running near Lake Michigan and continues her appreciation of theatrical performance by watching local and regional shows. If you see her, tell her what she needs to see and do!
