'Just get on the floor and do the New Kids dance!': New Kids on the Block's Joey McIntyre to perform in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Pop singer and actor Joey McIntyre, best known for his role in the iconic boy band New Kids on the Block, is set to perform a concert at Turner Hall Ballroom.

Known for solo hits like "Stay the Same" and "I Love You Came Too Late," which charted on the Billboard Hot 100, McIntyre aims to showcase songs from his nearly four-decade-long career.

McIntyre is also the youngest member of New Kids on the Block, a group that has sold over 80 million records worldwide since their founding in 1984, according to Billboard.

The band is best remembered for hits such as "Please Don't Go Girl," "You Got It (The Right Stuff)," "Hangin' Tough," "Step by Step" and "I'll Be Loving You (Forever)." In 2022, the group toured alongside Salt-N-Pepa, Rick Astley and En Vogue.

In reference to the upcoming concert, McIntyre stated in a press release, "I’m very blessed to be in a very successful band that gets to perform for a lot of people, and what we have is very special, but it’s important for me to balance that out and express myself as a solo artist as well. Both things feed each other."

The show is scheduled for Saturday, July 15, beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets can be bought at PabstTheaterGroup.com.
