MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Kids got to dress up as their favorite superheroes out on the ice rink earlier Saturday, Feb. 7.
It happened at the annual downtown Ice Cape-ade at Red Arrow Park.
Families could rent stakes for free, the kids could put on capes, and they met and skated with Milwaukee firefighters and police officers.
Milwaukee Fire Department Chief Aaron Lipski says it's great to be called out because something good is happening.
"I just enjoy a chance to interact with people when they're not having a really bad day," said Chief Lipski. "Rather, we can hang out with folks on a good day. That's what I love."
This was the fourth downtown Ice Cape-ade at Red Arrow Park.
