LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (CBS 58) – Get ready to be bedazzled for another year. The "Ice Castles" in Lake Geneva will open Friday, Jan. 22.
In December, ice artisans began growing and harvesting the icicles for the display. Hundreds of thousands of them are then hand placed to become an intricate network of frozen castles, slides, and tunnels.
Recently on CBS 58 Sunday Morning, Ice Castles founder Brent Christensen outlined changes for 2021 that will accommodate for safety during the pandemic.
Of course the overall run of the Ice Castles, from start to finish, is weather dependent. Tickets went on sale Tuesday. Click here to purchase them. Keep in mind because of Covid, there will be restrictions to lower the crowd size in addition to "one way" direction flows throughout the entire site located next to Geneva National's clubhouse for a second year in a row.
