Lakefront Brewery partnering with Milwaukee Diaper Mission for period supply drive

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Lakefront Brewery is partnering with Milwaukee Diaper Mission for the second annual period supply drive, providing gift card credit in exchange for unopened tampons and pads.

The event is aimed at addressing period poverty and will take place Sunday, June 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Milwaukee Diaper Mission, a basic needs bank, partners with local agencies to distribute essential supplies throughout the area. Founder Meagan Johnson highlighted their efforts in a Wednesday, May 22 press release, noting the significant need among the 1,200 people in need of period supplies that they serve.

Lakefront Brewery gift card credits will be provided at $0.25 per unopened tampon or pad. Milwaukee Diaper Mission says they are most in need of super tampons and super pads but will accept all unopened period supplies.

Those who cannot attend the drive are still welcome to participate by visiting the Milwaukee Diaper Mission's website to contribute.
