Landlord seriously injured by tenant during altercation in Fond du Lac County

FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 39-year-old landlord in Fond du Lac County suffered life-threatening injuries during an altercation with a tenant.
It happened Tuesday, March 11, in the town of Auburn.
According to the Fond du Lac Count Sheriff's Office, a 911 call came in from a person stating he and his landlord were in a fight and the landlord was having trouble breathing.
The landlord suffered significant life-threatening injuries and was transported to Froedtert Hospital in West Bend and then flown to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
According to the sheriff's office, detectives at the scene discovered evidence and developed probably cause to determine the initial 911 caller, a 39-year-old man from Auburn, was the aggressor in the altercation. That man was taken into custody and charges of first-degree attempted homicide were referred to the district attorney's office.
The victim suffered significant head and brain injuries and is currently medically sedated.
Additional charges against the suspect may be forthcoming.
