PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Pewaukee Police have arrested a person for homicide after investigating a suspicious death that was discovered Friday morning, January 4. 

Police say the identity of both the suspect and the victim will be released once the suspect is formally charged.

Authorities do not believe that Pewaukee citizens are in further danger.

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Pewaukee Police Department confirms that they're currently speaking with a person of interest.

No further details have been released at this time.

Twenty-four hours after police responded, they were still guarding the home. CBS 58 news spoke to the person who says they called police and say they're worried foul play is involved.

Little is known about the victim. Neighbors say a woman lived in the unit, she kept to herself, and was sometimes seen walking her dogs.

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A suspicious death investigation is underway at a Pewaukee apartment complex near Meadowcreek Drive and Lexington Court. 

Police say they got a report of a suspicious death around 11:00 p.m. Thursday. They are asking anyone with information to call authorities. 

Police could not comment on whether there is a risk to the public.
