RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- There are just five more shows left of Drop Dead at the Racine Theatre Guild (RTG). You can still get tickets, and you can also get your tickets now for the upcoming show of The Little Mermaid. The Little Mermaid may not start until December, but tickets are going quickly. And the cast and crew are already busy preparing.

With just a handful of people on their staff, most of the people at the Racine Theatre Guild are volunteers.

It's a chain reaction," said Jocelyn Fish, the director of marketing and development. "For an organization that's been around for 85 years, the only reason that we are as successful as we have been, is because of the people who've been here for years, or are coming for the first time, and they tell their friends about it, and they come see them in the show. And they say, 'omg that's so cool, I want to get involved.'"

People like Ed Stackey, who played in the RTG's last show Mamma Mia, and came back to play in this one.

"I play Victor La Plue, the hapless director of a rag tag group of actors," said Stackey. "I deliver a lot of the umph and anger, and then it's put back at me in the form of jokes and one-liners and mad-cap comedy."

This is Stackey's first time under the lights. But people like Cynthy McCrory have been volunteering at the RTG for years. McCrory is a stage manager for Drop Dead, and she's doing a lot of the costumes for The Little Mermaid.

If you want to get involved with community theater, the RTG is holding open auditions on Monday, Nov. 7 and Tuesday, Nov. 8.
