Late-night fire displaces 9 people

MILWAUKEE (CBS58) -- The Milwaukee Fire Department is investigating a late night that took place on August 15 near 86th and Capitol around 11:20 p.m. 

MFD was on scene within two minutes of being dispatched to find a fire on the 1st floor of a two-story duplex.

The fire was brought under control approximately 10 minutes after they arrived and no injuries were reported. 

Due to the major damage of the building, the Red Cross was requested to assist five adults and four children. 

Cause of the fire is under investigation by the MFD fire investigation unit and MPD which is standard practice for every building fire.
