A boost in temperatures despite the lack of sunshine
Happy Friday! Going in to the first weekend of November we have seen some good improvement with our drought situation. In fact, over the last eight weeks most of southeast Wisconsin has gone from moderate or severe drought to not even abnormally dry. Parts of Fond du Lac, Sheboygan and Dodge Counties are still reporting some dry conditions and a sliver of NW Fond du Lac County is in a moderate drought.
We are also at peak fall color in southeast Wisconsin. The leaves have been steadily changing the last few weeks and now is the time to head out and see fall color if you want to. A killing freeze to start November led to a leaf drop on most trees so this is definitely they last few days of peak color before the leaves are fully gone.
Don't forget to change your clocks this weekend! Daylight Saving Time will come to an end early Sunday morning so change your clocks before you go to bed. We "fall" back an hour so the sunrise time on Sunday is 6:31 AM and the sunset time Sunday evening is *gulp* 4:38 PM.
