MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Tonight marks the first night of Hanukkah and the Hoan Bridge will light up for the occasion!
Light the Hoan, the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and the Harry and Rose Samson Family Jewish Community have partnered to celebrate the Festival of Light.
Officials say that for the next eight nights, the Hoan Bridge will shine for the holiday, with one beam of light being added on the bridge each day of Hannukah.
The light beams will reportedly flicker red, orange and yellow to represent a candle on a menorah.
Organizers say that on Dec. 5, the final night of Hanukkah, groups will host a large celebration event at the base of the Hoan Bridge.
Reports show the lighting will begin Sunday, Nov. 28, at 5 p.m.
