Local business raising money for family of men injured in Cedarburg explosion
CEDARBURG, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Cedarburg business is raising money for the family of two men who were seriously injured in a barn explosion.
Northern Lights Tan Spa on Keup Road will donate 30% of their sales Friday, July 31, through Sunday, Aug. 2, to the Foeger family.
Jackson Police Lieutenant Mike Foeger and his father, Karl Foeger, are still hospitalized after their barn exploded in the Town of Cedarburg Saturday, July 25.
The family dog, Jasper, was also hurt. He was thankfully released from the animal hospital on Monday.
Northern Lights is donating to support their longtime employee, Nina Foeger, the daughter and granddaughter of the two men.
"Nina's been an employee of ours for nine years, so we'd like to donate back to her family and help in any way possible," said Sue Schlegel, manager of Northern Lights Tan Spa. "We'd like to have the community stop out, treat yourself to a spa treatment or a tan, and come in and donate to Nina's family."
Nina sent an update to Northern Lights staff Friday, saying her father and grandfather are still in serious condition and they're taking it one day at a time.
The family is overwhelmed and grateful for the community's support.
Northern Lights Tan Spa is also collecting donations of any kind for the family to help their long road to recovery.
