WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- It's that time of the year when farmers markets start popping up again, and in West Allis, the city's market returned for its 105th year.
Like every good farmers market, you can find freshly grown produce, meat, beer, and more.
Starting in June, local musicians will play for market goers on Thursdays and Fridays.
Farmers CBS 58 spoke to told us this year's warm winter and spring means you'll find your favorite fruits and vegetables a whole lot sooner.
"This season we're going to have a lot more variety sooner because it's so much warmer than it normally is. so, the variety is going to double at a very quick pace. Normally we'd just have spinach, but we're going to have new stuff every week. Like I might have lettuce next week, we're going to have other options for vegetables in the very near future," said Matthew Centgraf, owner of Centgraf Farms.
This year, the market has new hours. They are open from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
