Looking back on a slightly cool and rainy June

NOW: Looking back on a slightly cool and rainy June
NEXT:

The start to July was so busy with extreme heat and consistent severe storms that we are just now getting a chance to look back on June. Overall, June this year goes into the record books a little on the cool side. The beginning of June was cool with the coldest low happening June 3rd of 46. We had some warmth in the middle of the month and again in the last two days of the month when we hit our warmest high of 93 on the last day of the month. The official average temp of 67.1 goes down a half degree below average.

We also had consistent rain chances during the month of June. After a May that was the driest on record, June saw 4.77" of rain which was a little above average. Last June in 2025 we only saw just over 3" of rain. The consistent rain also got rid of all of the moderate drought area that had settled in and got rid of the dry conditions in southern counties.

July is warmest month of the year on average. The average highs don't move much going from 81 for the first few days of the month then to 82 the rest of the month and the average lows warm a few degrees. July doesn't average as much rain as June with only 3.40", but still a good soaking.
