'Lunch & Learn' series on Farm Workers Movement in Wisconsin to be hosted at Milwaukee's Latino Arts
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- May is an important month when it comes to putting the light on worker's rights. Of course, many Latino immigrants protest on May Day about this very topic. This Thursday, May 19, at Latino Arts on Milwaukee's south side, the cultural center will host its "Lunch & Learn" series about the migrant farm worker labor movement in Wisconsin. Jesús Salas will be one of the featured speakers. Among many accomplishments of this community leader and activist. Mr. Salas was the first Hispanic Executive Director of UMOS working with those underserved in areas of education and jobs.
